Why the trade is usually worth making
Ireland is small on a map and slow on the ground. The cliffs are on the Atlantic edge of County Clare and Dublin is on the Irish Sea — you are crossing the country. Three hours each way is not an operator padding the itinerary, it is the actual distance.
